Nov 17, 2020 The numbers 2, 3, and 12 are called craps numbers and mean bettors lose. The winning and losing numbers vary depending on the stage of the game. If the player establishes a point, 7 becomes a losing number. The Field wins if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 appears, and loses if a 5, 6, 7, or 8 appears. Don't worry, you don't have to memorize the winning numbers because they're printed on the layout in the Field box. Some casinos swap the 9 for the 5 where a 5 wins and a 9 loses. Craps Field Bet Numbers

Craps seems like a complicated game because there are so many terms and slang for different bets. Learning the lingo can help you understand the game.

  • 3-Way Craps: A bet made in units of 3 with one unit on 2, one unit on 3, and one unit on 12.
  • Aces: Betting that the next roll will be the total sum of 2. Also called Snake Eyes.

  • Comp: Complimentary or freebies provided to players based on their action.

  • Don't Come bet: A don't pass bet made after the point is established.

  • Lay-Out: The printed area on the felt where wagers can be placed.
  • Lay Odds: After a point has been established an additional odds bet can be made that will win if the original don't pass bet wins.
  • Little Joe: Slang for a pair of twos or Hard 4.
  • Marker: The plastic disk used to mark the point. One side is printed 'on' and the other 'off'.
  • Mark the Point: The dealer puts the Puck on the layout to indicate the point number.
  • Midnight: Slang for the 12. Also called box cars.
  • Natural: A seven or 11 thrown on the come out roll for a winning bet.

  • Parlay: Adding your winnings to an original bet and wagering it all. ​
  • Pass Line Bet: A wager made on the come out roll in which you are betting that the shooter will make the point.
  • Place bet: A bet that a particular number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) will be rolled before a 7 is rolled.
  • Point: The number established by the come out roll.
  • Proposition Bet: A wager on one of the bets in the center of the layout.
  • Right Better: A player with a bet on the pass line.
  • Rack: The grooved rail where you keep your chips.
  • Seven Out: Expression when a shooter rolls a seven before making their point thus losing the pass line bet.
  • Shooter: The player rolling the dice.

What Numbers Crap Out

Have you been an avid craps player for sometime? Well, now its time for you to get the ins and outs of this wondrous casino game. How about learning the secret of the field bet in online casino or land casino craps?
But let's first ask ourselves, what exactly is the field bet in a game of craps? The field bet is a one roll bet taken within the play of the game.
So if any number other than 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 is rolled then you've just lost. The other numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8 roll a total of 20 times while the field numbers roll only 16 times. On the surface, it looks like the field bet is a bad bet.
Yet, it is important for you to know that there are positives to using the field bet and making more money in a game of craps.
Craps professionals know that their winning depends on streaks. When winning streaks occur, craps contenders are more likely to bet more.
When players land a negative line, they bet less. When you play the field, you can determine whether to increase or decrease your bets, and then use a rotating field progression.
In order to accomplish an efficient and effective bet line you will need to establish a winning goal and a loss limit.
Hypothetically speaking let's say your buy-in to a game of craps is $500, so your starting unit on the field should be $5. You should not make any other bets and you should quit when you've won or lost the same amount in craps - approximately 30 percent of your buy in, or $150 in this specific scenario.
To keep up with craps, you'll more than need to continue betting on the floor without missing any bets.
You'll need to keep betting on the field without missing any bets. This means you have to bet before the come out as well, and be 100 percent sure the dealers know your bet is on. If you make a bet and the dealer even thinks it is off just a little then you won't get paid.
Remember, craps takes a lot of charisma. If you are starting with a red chip and place it on the field and win then be sure to increase you craps bet one unit.
If your craps streak continues then increase one unit again. If your craps winnings streak suffices for one play then immediately bet down one unit.
So, keep following this pattern in your craps endeavor until you've reaching your winning goal of $150. This however, is only the pocket money you've earned on the table. This is the time to stop your craps game.
If the shooter happens to hit a string of non-field numbers, you are limited in your losses, because you are decreasing your bet by one unit on every loss until you hit zero.
So, play craps one bet at a time.
